Born in Havana and raised in Miami from age two, Vivian Galego-Mendez’s story reflects resilience, gratitude, and community. Her family was among the first Cuban families to settle in The Roads, where her parents worked tirelessly to build a new life while preserving their traditions. Their dedication shaped her bilingual fluency and her ability to connect across communities. Vivian earned a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Miami and spent 20 years practicing as a therapist. The empathy and communication skills she developed became the foundation for her real estate career. For more than 25 years, Vivian has been part of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty. As Vice President and Managing Broker of the Key Biscayne office, she is known for leadership and commitment to supporting agent growth. Vivian serves as Chairman of the Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce and leads EWM’s efforts supporting the Sunshine Kids charity.
